(Proverbs 3:15 KJV) She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.
What kind of things do we “desire” (2656) in life? Look at your goals. Much of my driving force centers around my family. I get up and go to work to provide. At times I am channeled into the right choice because I am aware I set an example. I may put off a purchase because I have the welfare of more than myself in mind. This is all well and good.
But what is behind all that? A desire to do the will of God.
Face it. There are times when no amount of human logic is strong enough to overcome the rational of the moment. We are capable of talking ourselves into all kinds of foolishness. At one extreme we have adultery. At the other end we have taking a nap instead of making a phone call. At times the only thing that keeps me on the straight and narrow is knowing the mind of God, His wisdom.
So? What is the real desire of your heart? If you are not yet a believer it should be to know God. If you are a believer it should be to know and practice the Wisdom of God. Act on that desire. Today.

Good post!
Thanks. I almost didn't make it on time. I finally hit the enter button around 1:00 A.M. I hate last minute stuff because it is so easy to miss the difference between "there" and "their" and such, let alone the thinking part.
Grace and peace.
Desire is such a strong word, yet the meaning seems to be lost these days. I recently read a book called 'Desire' by John Elderidge. It really helped me review all my desires and get them back in line with God. Good Post!
