Are you looking for a creative curse? This might meet the need: “May your “lamp” (5216) go out in a time of darkness.”
Have you ever suddenly been without light in a very dark place? Have you even tried to walk across a room in the dark right after you turned out the light? It is amazing how quickly you lose your sense of location and direction.
I hope this verse brings to mind another that is more familiar to millions,
(Psalms 119:105 KJV) Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. The Hebrew has the same word for “lamp” (5216). The promise here is that our promises can be cancelled. While the “batteries” of the word will never run out of power, our ability to see and understand them can “go out” (1846).
So? Here although the warning is about cursing our parents, the concern might go to other attitudes and actions as well. Guard your heart and mind. Don’t lose your way.
