(Proverbs 20:29 KJV) The glory of young men is their strength: and the beauty of old men is the gray head.
What is the difference between “glory” (8597) and “beauty" (honor NASB) (1926)? In this case it seems to be the difference between what is given and what is earned.
Young people tend to be stronger and faster than old people. As an old person I know. I was never particularly fast or strong, but I was more of each when I was young.
On the other hand, there is a reason why we say we wish we could go back and do things over again. It is only through experience that we gain the insight of wisdom.
So? We are what we are. Take advantage of the strengths that you have now. I tell the eighth graders I work with that I would never want to go back to their age, and I mean it. I enjoy the senior discounts too much.

When people ask if I'd like to be young again, I always reply "Not if I had to be that stupid again!"
I will try to quote you this week. At the end of each day I have often been heard to mumble, "I am so tired of stupid," on my way to the car.
