(Proverbs 26:1 KJV) As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest, so honour is not seemly for a fool.
When a book of the Bible gives a lot of attention, maybe we should also. Proverbs refers to the “fool” (3684) in 17 of 31 chapters. The high point is this chapter which uses the word eight times. Also there is at least one other word, (5034a), translated fool. God has a lot to say about fools and it isn’t praise.
Sometimes the teaching is to help us not act foolish. Here it is a warning about how we treat fools. We are not to “honor” (3519b) them. This is a word that is most frequently translated “glory” and refers to God. We need to be very careful about giving value to the leadership of people who are fools.
So? How do we know a fool when we see one? Read the rest of the chapter. The first half will give you a rundown. Evaluate opinions and leadership on what you read.

I'd say that about 46% of us are in deep trouble. ;-)
At least we know it which is a mark of wisdom.
