(Pro 13:19 KJV) The desire accomplished is sweet to the soul: but it is abomination to fools to depart from evil.
This verse has an uncomfortable insight. “Abomination” (8441) is not the exclusive field of the righteous. It is how “fools” (3684) feel about giving up their schemes. This is part of the perversion of sin, it turns the good into the bad and makes it worshiped. This is a word of caution to me. I need to work overtime to be receptive to the leading of the Holy Spirit, but also to know the written Word so that I cannot be deceived. Lord, help me to know when I am wrong.
It is immoral for them to “depart” (5493) from “evil” (7451b). They are attached to it. They are as committed to evil as the righteous are to good. We do not see that; or maybe we just don’t want to see it. We need to remember this as we deal with the doctrinal differences and outright heresy of the emerging church movement. They are passionate about their rejection of the things of God and the people of God.
So? This is a reminder that evil exists and it is not accidental. It is as important to some as doing right is to the righteous. Beware. Be mature.

Sad but true.
It is amazing how often we think that being sincere is enough.
Grace and peace.
