There are many levels of “trouble” (6869a) we will never know because we are righteous. I think all of us have had times when our lips transgressed. It might have been deliberate, thus a sin. It might have been accidental or confused. We have all been there. This verse offers us the hope of grace.
In this situation, grace starts with forgiveness when we acknowledge our sin and repent. It continues beyond that as God works in our lives. A verse of assurance comes to mind.
(Romans 8:28 KJV) And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Our assurance is not about the difficulty we face today. The promise is about the final outcome. It does not say we will never experience problems but that we will “come out” (escape NASB) (3318).
So? Do you face I crisis today? I do. It may be difficult but I have the assurance that the final resolution is in God’s hands. Trust and obey.
