(Pro 14:30 KJV) A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.
This could be a reminder of what we call psychosomatic illness. Our state of mind has a lot to do with our health. We need to be careful because people who tend to be healthy can get to be arrogant and judgmental toward people going through real problems. Ultimately our health is in God’s hands but He lays down the foundation that helps guide it. Living by faith is one of them. Stress is a part of life. The unknown is always with us. Much of our stress is non-spiritual. Picture approaching a signal on a road with a 50 MPH speed limit. Will it change? When it does should you hit the brake or the accelerator? Stressful but not spiritual. At the same time the amount of confidence we have about the providence of God makes a difference in how our bodies respond.
So? Relax. Easy to say and often hard to do. The basic fact is that we can work ourselves into a frantic attitude that opens us up to physical issues.
