(Deu 6:7 KJV) And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
(Proverbs 30 also read)
We see the clear statements.
What we may not notice is that this requires spending time with them, quantity that has quality. This is not sitting watching a movie but discussing what you have watched. This is harder than we think. It means we need to change our schedules. You cannot have a meaningful discussion with your child if you are at a political meeting or taking a class for work. Investing in your children may mean not accepting a promotion.
It may also involve getting the kids away from a lot of the activities we think are necessary. Kids are so busy today with lessons and practice. I wonder how many of those are because the child wants to be involved and how many are because the parents think it is necessary. How many demands are more about our social position than developing a well rounded family?
So? Do some serious thinking. Each of us has to come to our own conclusions. Be honest and prayerful. God will supply the energy we need but not necessarily that we want.

Quantity Is Quality
