An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Joy for Trouble

(Psa 86:7 KJV)  In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.

There are days when I need a verse like this.  Do you know what I’m talking about?  Now, I must say, today is not one of them, but it is so good to be reminded of how dependable our God is.

Maybe we also need to remember that we don’t just need to call upon God in our time of trouble.  That’s what it says here but, I somehow think that God really enjoys it when we call upon him in our blessings.

So?  Are you blessed today or are you troubled today? One thing, never changes, God loves it when his people call upon His name.  I’m not sure which He enjoys more, the trust we expressed in our need or the lovely expression of joy.
