Psalm 129:5 (KJV) Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.
(Proverbs 10 also read)
I think that we often hear that we should pray for Jerusalem and that God will bless those who do so. I’m not going to be looking up that verse. What I want to look at is this specific statement in Psalms. This is specifically stating how God reacts to people who hate Jews. Zion in this case is referring to the mountain, where the temple is, the place where God has said He would sit in judgment. It is also significant in the end times. But for our purposes, it means anyone who hates God’s people, the Jews.
Anti-Semites will be “confounded.” They will be “turned back.” I’m sure that has many applications, many understandings. None of them could be good.
So? How does this apply to your individual life. It’s not a matter of you sending an army out to attack the Golan Heights. It’s a matter of you making personal decisions about the people of Israel, and how God will influence your life because of that. Be wise.
